Black Panther is The Only Black James Bond We Need – TWB82

Black Panther is the superhero James Bond – On The Thread

Black Panther is the only black James Bond we need; he has the tech, the suave demeanor, and the well intent to undermine criminal minds who threaten his nations. It would be great to have a black James Bond character on the big screen but as long as he or she is not James Bond and more Bond-like. I’m bored of remakes and studio attempts to reinsert old titles into the modern day film industry by way of culture appropriation: Female Ghostbusters, a black James Bond. Good ideas. Lazy imagination.

The sole popularity of the title and name of a product (the film) remains the only selling point for the repurposing a franchise with different faces of gender or race.

I hate the idea of that guy from Get Out as black bond; it’s only an accurate casting because he’s British.

Traits that make Black Panthers T’challa James Bondsian

  1.  Suave – that suit jacket with the tail he wears to the high court.
  2.  Gadgets and Tech – Black Panther’s version of M is his younger sister Suri. Vibranium gives him an unlimited advantage over most of his foes.
  3. Ain’t no humping around in Wakanda. A different set of values between a king raises and a British agent, however, when they turn on the charm, panties be droppin’!

Black Panther movie is the film to change the game forever, ugh.

The game changer for Disney is to tell better stories with their superhero franchise? This isn’t their first attempt to tell stories without a magical staff and the sky opening up to an alien invasion.

Examples: Ant-man and Ironman 3

Starks and the Black Panther’s T-Challa are alike in many ways.

Putting your money where your mouth is i.e. philanthropy. STARK realizes in the first Irom Man film the misdeeds of corporation and wealth with others managing his finances with the greedy intent to profit from business tied to criminal organizations. T’challa feels the same with the exposure of vibranium. What and who will attempt to use this sacred natural resource as a weapon or destruction when or if it is exposed to worldly powers.

In other words: Man cannot have nice things.

Kilmonger and T’challa both have a moral compass.

Helping others and being only for your people rather than the world as a whole. Hold on tight to tradition and heritage; these customs are seldom past on the youth of today’s societies.

Alexander the Great versus Black Panther.

How does Blank Panther’s T’Challa compare to Alexander the Great.

What makes a king, King? – Scoop Du Jour

Alexandar conquered many territories. Consider by history to be the greatest king to have ever ruled. Genghis Kong conquered four times as many territories as Alexandar, so why isn’t he consider the most successful King to have ever ruled.

  • Alexander and learned by Aristotle
  • Conquered lands and adopted their cultures
  • Knowledge is King
  • Bloodthirsty or fame worthy.
  • Legacy and the Colosseum: Titus who only reigned for two years but is most notable for enduring the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and completing the Colosseum

T’challa and other rulers of Wakanda swore to never allow the outside world to interfere with their societal structural. This concept of seclusion over the exemplifies this ignorance of the world’s superpowers turning a blind eye to the atrocities and suffering of people to save resources rather than practice global humanity.

Snipes and the Black Panther project that never was.

Read the article by about Wesley Snipes and the Black Panther movie that never was. Although the idea never made from thought to a movie production, the framework is almost similar to what we saw on screen with Marvel’s Black Panther. Such an ambitious effort during a time when Marvel was in such turmoil could not conjure enough confidence to make this character cultural reverent.

Movies don’t have a race! – No Matter How You Spin It

I put a focus on Black Movie. In all my years of working in the cinema industry, people refer to movies starring black people as black movies; that always bothered me. These are movies with no true genre distinction. Filmed in American and produced by American. Unlike Bollywood or movies from China, films from other countries are typically genre specific. Presented in the language from what country it derives; however, movies by Tyler Perry are not Black movies — they are movies.
