Live Action Role Play

I won’t go into a review of Days of Futures Past until I watch it for a second time, but SPOILER ALERT! Fox missed an opportunity to give Jackman a proper send off with using Wolverine rather than Kitty to travel back in time and stop Mystique’s assassination of Bolivar Trasks. Picture me this, Jackman’s Wolverine stays the old grizzled man of the future with more than just gray highlights as Kitty (don’t get me started ) … SHE TAPS INTO IS BRAIN -with powers acquired mysteriously for the purpose of this movie- and telepathically transports him to his younger self. There was the opportunity to introduce fans to a new Wolverine with this version of events by having the Wolverine of Past freshly casted. Long story shory: after is was said and done –the future of mutants saved–we find not Jackman’s Wolverine standing confused in the hallway of Xavier’s Mansion but The New Wolverine who has truly never experienced the events of the previous X-men trilogy and to whom everyone knows as Logan except for Logan himself.

Reset.

Oh yeah, and as not to piss off the fan base entirely, Future Wolverine has to die as he did in the comic: full of berserker rage and fried to his adamantium skeleton by a Sentinel with a shot of Storm and Colossus looking on with horror and despair. They too would suffer the same fate but not without one last Colossus power up and a cut to of a huge Sentinel crashing backwards out of a tall building.
