Trapped – Jerry tell a tale of workplace despair when he locks his keys in the office.
Okay, I got locked out of the office at work at 2 a.m. with no way to get home. My car keys, phone, and dignity were on the other side of a door that was surprisingly enough, very secure. I tried to break in using a few techniques I learned from years of watching movies and as intended I was restricted entry. Instead or resisting my fate, I just gave in and watch New Girl on my iPad until I fell asleep.
Movie Dish of The Week
1.Trolls (2016) Pico!
Chris watched trolls and like it enough, however, it was no great feat for Dreamworks. Technically the movie was very well executed. The animation was great and the color design was very luminous.
Storywise the movie was just eh and they completely wasted a good opportunity to use Jeffery Tambor (who Chris mistook as Steve Martin). Anna Kendrick can indeed sing and Chris did not use air quotes when he stated as much.
2. Inferno (2016)
The third film in the Dan Brown series of Robert Langdon books. Neither of us watched the movie but Jerry read (listened to the audiobook) and doesn’t necessarily need to watched the movie for the plot but to enjoy the set locations and art references listed in the book.
3. Doctor Strange (2016) Hot!
This is rather redundant. Yes, the movie looked awesome. Yes, Benedict Cumberbatch is great and yes, Marvel is keeping up the status quo of bringing obscure characters to the attention of a wider audience. However, I find it very difficult to speak to more about this film without not really knowing about the character more extensively. So we can talk about what happen on onscreen and since this is a non spoiler review, THAT, particular information will have to be discussed at another time.
4. Hacksaw Ridge (2016) Hot!
This That and the Other News
Putin grants citizenship to Steven Segal
Really Segal? I loved such great gems as Marked for Death and Out for Justice. Those movies made me and my friends want to spar in the basement of house and attempt moves that could have indeed paralyzed a person. Thanks and no thanks sir. Why couldn’t you wait until all of this election stuff is over and done with — not cool, bro.
Deadpool loses Composer Tim Miller
When a success franchises loses key members of the establishing movie, they always lose something that those individuals brought to the table. Weeks ago this production lost its director, the person who was able to make Deadpool the movie it became. So when you lose that vision the initial film was structured around the production loses certain important elements and disrupts the creative process. i.e. Good Dinosaur and Ant-man
Mermaid Sauna
Jacuzzi of Despair is a body of water so salty nothing can live there. This lakes exist 300 feet under the Gulf of Mexico.
Doctor Morbid
Sometime in the late 80’s a struggling Marvel entertainment company sold the rights to many of its characters, one of which was Doctor Strange. However, during production of the movie Full Moon pictures loses the rights to the film and opted to continue making a similar movie called Doctor Morbid.
Too Much Energy
Man turns yellow after drinking three to four energy drinks a day.
Tangents:
- Splash with Channing Tatum. Why, oh why! Please don’t mess with a beloved classic like that film. Wait.. That’s how it is in Hollywood. Huge sigh and oh well.
- *Chet Hanks, the rapper. Spawned from a kind and nurturing family. Chet took the whole rebelling against his fathers goody too shoe awesomeness to an unfortunate level. Calm down, man! Realize that you are blessed to have a family who loves and supports you and your endeavors. To be a rapper does not actually mean you have to have a gangsta persona or come from a deprived background. Rapping is skill and passion for music so just better your vocab, homie.
- Sausage Party Oscar nomination? Yes, please!
-
Eaters Guilt and CannibalismWhy don’t animals care about eating members or their own species but to use humans, it’s deplorable? People have to be at death’s door a knocking before we even consider eating the flesh of another fellow biped.
